Photojournalism in Kiruna mining and Raise Boring
This is one of the proudest things I have ever done. I loved every second of it, and wish I could do more works like this.
I packed my camera and followed a team of underground workers in the Kiruna mines, in the north of Sweden. Not just any workers, the Raise Boring team of Bergteamet, a company specialized in the mining industries different areas of drilling.
Dagens Arbete , the largest syndicate magazine in Sweden, published a 6 pages + cover feature of this work, and it practically launched my career as a photojournalist. I am both proud and thankful for their interest in my documentaries.
I am planing some more freelancing projects like this one, but if you need a photojournalist in the mining sector, give me a call please. I love, love this light and shadow photographic environment.

Portugal Wedding Photographer. Algarve. Alentejo. Lisbon
This is near to my heart. Near to home. In so many ways.
I live in Sweden, but Portugal is my home country. My dream and biggest wish is to take on more assignments there, to be able to keep my family and myself, more connected to this beautiful country and friendly habits. I love everything about my country. The people, the habits, the gastronomy, the fragrances, the way of life…Portugal is so special. The province of Alentejo even more so. It is such a pity that it is stil undiscovered by so many. Of course, that might be the reason why it stil is so special. So authentic and friendly. So if you are engaged and thinking of getting married in Portugal, please contact me, and we will make it work, I promise.
I’ve known Filipa & Hugo since they were kids. I know their parents. They are also dear friends to my brother. It doesn’t get more personal than this. I loved their natural comfortable take on photography. No gimmicks!
Also, these pictures are taken around the village my ancestors are from. Many persons I love still love there. It’s just impossible to not put a bit of my heart in this post.
The other special thing, is that This whole session was shot on film, with my Hasselblad. Boy! Am I glad I took that decision! The light and colors are incomparable . This was pretty special to be a December afternoon. I am glad good old film photography made it justice.
These beautiful frames were all developed and scanned by, in my opinion, the best lab in Europe. UK Film Lab.
Thank you, Portugal! Thank you, Filipa & Hugo! Thank you, UK Film Lab!
Stockholm Wedding Photographer
I have been longing to blog this beautiful vintage wedding and I am finally able to do it.
I have told you about Gardenia & Gustaf before. When we first met, they made clear that both had a very special interest for aesthetics, and that their wedding would be vintage themed, but they also were very clear about something else.
Their main interest was to make their day as special as possible for their guests, making them feel appreciated. It was to feel cosy, personal, and about family and friendship laces. Not about the pretty stuff.
They designed vintage letterpress invitations as well as place holders. In each placeholder, every guest would find an personal, interesting description of the 3 guests sitting immediately in front and beside them. Like small love notes to and about each guest.
What an amazing gift! The time and attention they put into these!
They also collected smal silver vases for a long time and made question that every table would get a different vintage floral arrangement.
Everything was about showing their love for their guests.
See, that is something I have been noticing. No matter if I am a Stockholm wedding photographer for the day, or an Italy wedding photographer, or even a local one for that matter. I have been seeing this connection between my couples, that has helped me identify what it is that they see in my photography, making them certain that I am the one who should tell their story. I am thinking of writing a blogpost about this soon.
You see, all my weddings feel and are personal to me. I feel them in different ways. I bring home different feelings and lessons learned from each one of them. From Gardenia and Gustaf, I learned to recognize the greatness of love as a leading star.
The calm loving strength and loyalty that brings and keeps people together. The power of really listening and seeing others. That is what I brought home from their lovely day.
Gardenia & Gustaf, I often think of you two, and how special one felt around you two. You have this tremendous gift of making people around you feel both seen and loved.
Thank you for having me!
